This Privacy Policy explains how SakuretsuShen ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use sakuretsushen.com (the "Site"), the Sekko clip-pipeline tooling, and any related applications or integrations (collectively, the "Services"), including our integrations with the TikTok Developer Platform.
01 · Who we are & how to contact us
The Services are operated by SakuretsuShen, an independent gaming creator brand based in the United States. For privacy questions, data-subject requests, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact: ops@sakuretsushen.com.
02 · Scope
This policy applies to information collected through the Services. It does not apply to third-party platforms we link to or integrate with — including TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, X, Instagram, Kick, Discord, and Amazon — each of which has its own privacy policy and controls.
03 · Information we collect
03.1 · Information you provide
- Email address. If you submit the dispatch form, we collect the email address you enter and any optional notes you include. Form submissions are processed by Formspree, which acts as our processor.
- Correspondence. If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you include.
- Sekko account information. If you receive access to the Sekko application, you may provide a name, email, and authentication credentials. Sekko is currently invitation-only.
03.2 · Information collected automatically
- Server & access logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard request logs including IP address, user agent, referrer, requested URL, and timestamp. These logs are used for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic analysis.
- Cookies. The Site uses only strictly-necessary cookies required for functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies. If we introduce optional analytics in the future, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
03.3 · Information from TikTok (TikTok Developer Platform)
Where the Sekko application integrates with the TikTok Developer Platform and you authorize the integration, we receive information from TikTok limited to the scopes you grant during the OAuth flow. This may include:
- Your TikTok user ID, username, display name, and avatar URL.
- Metadata about videos you choose to publish through Sekko, including title, description, privacy level, and upload status.
- Access and refresh tokens issued by TikTok for the purpose of authenticating subsequent API requests on your behalf.
We use this information solely to provide the publishing functionality you request. We do not use TikTok user data to train machine-learning or generative-AI models, and we do not sell or rent TikTok user data to any third party. Our use of TikTok data complies with the TikTok Developer Policy.
04 · How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Services.
- To send you the editorial and drop emails you have signed up for.
- To respond to your inquiries and support requests.
- To publish content to your connected TikTok account when you instruct Sekko to do so.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
05 · Legal bases (EEA & UK users)
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases: consent (for email signup and TikTok OAuth scope grants); contract (to deliver requested Services); legitimate interests (security, debugging, fraud prevention); and legal obligation (where the law requires it).
06 · How we share information
We share information only as described below. We do not sell personal information.
- Service providers. Vendors that operate our Services on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. Current providers include Vercel (hosting), Formspree (form intake), Cloudflare (DNS and edge), and email-delivery providers used to send the dispatch newsletter.
- TikTok. When you publish content through Sekko, the relevant content and metadata are transmitted to TikTok at your direction.
- Legal & safety. When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SakuretsuShen, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the receiving party honoring this policy or providing notice of changes.
07 · Affiliate disclosure
Product links on the Site may be Amazon Associates affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may set its own cookies and collect information per its own privacy policy. We receive aggregate, anonymized commission reports — we do not receive your name, email, or order details from Amazon.
08 · Data retention
- Email signup data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Correspondence: retained for up to 24 months unless we are required to retain it longer for legal or accounting reasons.
- TikTok tokens: retained only while your authorization is active. We delete tokens immediately on revocation or account deletion.
- Server logs: retained for up to 90 days, then aggregated or deleted.
09 · Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your personal information ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email ops@sakuretsushen.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
09.1 · TikTok-specific deletion
You can revoke Sekko's access to your TikTok account at any time from TikTok → Settings → Manage app permissions. On revocation we delete the associated access and refresh tokens within 24 hours. To request deletion of any other TikTok-derived data we hold, email ops@sakuretsushen.com.
10 · California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the rights described in Section 09 above, plus the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of recipients. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To submit a request, email ops@sakuretsushen.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request."
11 · Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12 · International transfers
We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We use appropriate safeguards (including standard contractual clauses where required) when transferring personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
13 · Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, including transport-layer encryption (HTTPS), credential rotation, least-privilege access, and automated security monitoring through our hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14 · Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site or notified by email where appropriate.
